Interesting.  I had an egg sandwich and banana.  I almost had cereal, but wanted something different since I had cereal yesterday.

Sometimes I eat eggs, but never egg sandwiches.  Isn't it funny how different people eat somewhat different things?  :shocker!:

One of my coworkers scrambles a couple of eggs every day at work for an egg burrito.  He found that if you find the right kind of plastic ware (shape and material), you can easily make scrambled eggs in the microwave.  The key is choosing the right amount of time as each microwave is different.  Also, don't add milk.  Just egg.  I tried one of those Glad "disposable" plastic containers and it seems to work OK.  Some egg does get stuck in on the bottom and sides, but for the most part, almost all the egg comes out OK.

I have never had a hot cereal breakfast such as cream of wheat or oatmeal.  :shocker!:

I had eggs and arugula plus some blackberries.
Parent - By triplejake (The Vampire Lestat) [us] Date 2012-01-30 12:56 PM
I had arugula on my pizza last night.  I have concluded that it is not high on my list of favored pizza toppings.

I turned over a new leaf.  Nothing but very high fiber cereal from now on.  Unfortunately, very pricey.  My favorite:  Kellogg's Cracklin' Oat Bran
Parent - - By dangerousdan (bear terrorist) [us] Date 2012-02-01 11:08 AM
That's practically a sugar cereal.  Hate to break it to you.

yep that stuff is like crack, which tells me right away it's bad.

Oatmeal with fruit and yogurt is probably the better choice though Kashi Go Lean Crunch, while still sugar-tastic, is probably better than the Cracklin' Oat Bran.

I can't hear you.  LaLaLaLaLaLa.  And BTW, 3/4 cup is way too small a serving for me.  I usually double that so it's 14g fiber.  Toss in 3 tablespoons of Metamucil w/OJ in the morning and I'm ready to go.

I like Kashi go lean crunch, but I've kind of overdosed on it recently.  And when I prepare oatmeal, I add a bunch of sugar to it, anyway.  Another cereal I like is Muesli.

All I get from this is that I may as well eat cocoa puffs :p

I had cereal for breakfast #3! :shocker!: Oatmeal.
Parent - - By run4pancakes [us] Date 2012-02-01 2:27 PM
My new guts seem to greatly dislike the combination or cereal, milk, and sliced banana for breakfast.  This is a sad, sad, sad day.

Give it time?

How are eggs?
Parent - - By run4pancakes [us] Date 2012-02-04 12:54 PM
I haven't eaten eggs yet.  Cream of wheat seems to be good.  All of this stuff is supposed to get better with time, so we shall see.

Cream of wheat is pretty easy on the system in general.  What do Drs. say about fiber right now?  Slowly increase it over time?
Parent - By run4pancakes [us] Date 2012-02-04 8:26 PM
Fiber is pretty much the devil for the time being.  Over time I'm supposed to be able to slowly increase it.  The whole first year is kind of viewed as an adjustment/learning period.
