Hey there gang.
Post what you got!
Happy Birthday Mike!
QOTD: If you couldn't run (ever) what would you do instead?
Happy Birthday Mike! How many miles today?
Since I don't run anymore, I power walk. I have always enjoyed walking and have always walked at a fast pace.
Going out for a PW with my friend later this morning. We are having wet weather.
Be back later
Thanks Geel! I got out for my typical 8 mile run this morning. It was a bit cooler and felt nice. If I didn't have to work today I would've run on a longer trail run somewhere. No kids at school, but it is teacher closing day.
I have to drive to Louisville this afternoon for a root canal. My dentist recommended I get this done asap. Today was the most convenient time to do it.
If I couldn't run ever again I think I would volunteer as much as possible at local running events and continue coaching CC so I could at least still feel a part of the running community. For fitness, I would probably bike, although I have only been on about 3 bike rides as an adult.
good luck today. way to celebrate? sorry
Happy Birthday to Mister Run 8 Moose.
Walking instead of running is my answer.
Moving on Monday. Headed off to Poland in a couple hours. Travelers angst got me pretty good. My printer died an ugly death yesterday and I could not print tix and boarding passes and itinerary. I know Tom should join the digital age and have it all on the smart phone, but I just don't trust the phone I have. (Really I don't trust me). I bought a new printer. Take a deep breath because it will be a car, 4 train rides, bus and airplane to get tothe hotel in Warsaw in 24 hours. I never connected with Rick B. The old email address went unanswered. Hope to send back a few pics of pirogi and hot and steamy locomotives.
Tom in DE
All the best to you on your trip, Tom! I was thinking about you this morning on my run wondering when you were leaving for Poland as I couldn't remember. Looking forward to hearing about your trip.

Safe travels Tom!!!
Have a great time, Tom!! Send us pictures!
Happy Birthday Mike!
8.37 miles this morning...in honor of Mike'[s birthday.
my buddy who did JFK and ran Stonemill 50 with me, is trying to talk me into doing this
next April. still in the deciding planning stages. just an FYI in case you are interested.
It looks interesting. I actually enjoyed running on the towpath at JFK. This looks like it would be an "easy" 100, even though there's no such thing.
you and Mike both need to come here and do the Hennepin 100.
THAT would be fun, Rob! We would have the bestest crew!!
that would be a plus. except the one in MD i can sleep in my own bed and only have to drive an hour...

Run both of them.

Spingoddess on marathons just did it. I think her race report is still up on the front page of the marathons page if you want to go check it out.
I would take up swimming. I enjoy it but I suck. A few more lessons though and I'd be good with it I think.
Coffee and Kitties at the animal shelter this morning, then I finished up the clover patch. Now I am on to unknown weeds masquerading as grass. Seriously, there are 3 things growing out there that I can't identify. All are invasive and I've termed them not-grass. Look out, I'm on to you not-grass.
Aw Jeez, then I have to work in some strength training. I'm more inclined to hang out with Amy and/or a book. Guess I'll throw in a load of laundry and procrastinate on that workout a bit more.
enjoy all of your day.

4 miles this morning. Just 96 short of 100.
QotD: Beats me. It's all I've done since the fall of 1973.
I'm going out there, I swear I am. 3ish today. starting the climb back up. I do not want to hurt myself like last time. so easy does it.
Monster Mash. Rob what say you?
QOTD: yoga and walking.
all those cute yoga clothes.
more than likely.
will start training for it on July 2nd, assuming my bod is in one piece. not signing up for it yet. doesn't look like it sells out.
okay me too. it does however get more expensive.
but not too much more.
Price Increase 6/15/17
I know but 110 for a marathon in stupid little dover? I wonder why it is so expensive.
Dover is the garden spot of the East Coast
how much is the half? I am on the fence. I want the medal but its very close to my A race and I'm not sure how recovered I'll be.
Did 4.64 miles (PW) today! With some hills!

Guess I would cycle and if not that, then spin.
Ran a hot 3.7 last night. About 84 degrees and humid.
Torrential rain today. The trees told me they loved it.
1.6 miles walked. Didn't bother to time.
Rain led to a shortened workout.
Then my wife and I ventured up to Baldwin's book barn
. Managed not to spend to much money by spending time loving on the fat black cat that owns the place. With 5 floors of books, it makes a nice day trip.
nice. that's my kinda place....
I love that place but it has been years since I've been.
