Where is everybody?

Post it when you finally show up.

Doctor appointment, then unexpected rain has put  a hold on today's workout.

I've been cleared to go back to work. We'll call that a mixed blessing

Indeed it is a mixed blessing!

My friend and I went out for a PW this morning and now I am helping my husband with yard work.  It is hot and sticky today.

Trying to make a dr's appointment since last week -- we keep playing phone tag.

My idea of yard work is writing out the check to the landscapers.

I enjoy working out in the yard.  Dawn and I could probably start a lawn service

Mark, that is excellent.

I climbed out of bed around 5:00 this morning and ran 8 miles.

My dentist did some dental work this morning on the tooth where I had a root canal.  He put on a temporary crown and did impressions for a permanent crown. That will be in two weeks.

Crown him with many crowns.

The last 4 mile time trial is tonight.  I managed 7 of the 12 run series.  Tonight ends up being a fun run, club meeting, and pizza after.  Supposed to bring a dish to pass but I'm going to be a rebel and show up empty handed.

Every year we do this one guy brings his mom's wonderful chocolate chip cookies, one guy brings a bag of chips, and I bring some sort of salad.  The other 25 people just bring themselves.   I'm following that trend tonight.  Besides, pizza covers all the food groups right?
Parent - - By markhh [us] Date 2017-05-30 1:15 PM
It doesn't cover the chocolate food group.

Well, unless you make a desert pizza. or a pizza with a mole sauce. But that would be more MB's territory.
Parent - By oncearunner [us] Date 2017-05-30 1:34 PM
I would take a bag of tortilla chips and salsa (or guacamole.)

1:30 on the trainer with 20 @zone 3 then 15 @ zone 3, and some 1 min 1 leg drills. Oh the joy : pbbt:

Ian is completely finished with school as of today. Technically school is not done until the 9th I think but he is done with all course  work. This has been the most difficult and challenging year for us. I really hope something changes over the summer or we may be enrolling him in the shit school district :mutmad: Amazingly he has straight A's. Amanda is almost done, but not quite.
Parent - - By markhh [us] Date 2017-05-30 1:38 PM
Well, that would definitely be an "education" for him.
Parent - - By ironjen Date 2017-05-30 3:31 PM
Yeah, as in no real education :meh:

I was thinking more of the sociological factors.

As the meme says, "Mr. Rogers didn't prepare me for my neighbors".
Parent - By ironjen Date 2017-05-31 4:59 AM
In our actual neighborhood that is not an issue.
Parent - - By dnaff [us] Date 2017-05-30 2:18 PM
what grade did he finish?
Parent - By ironjen Date 2017-05-30 3:31 PM
He just finished 2nd grade but 3rd grade math.

Hit the gym after work.
Parent - - By markhh [us] Date 2017-05-30 6:25 PM
I need to figure out a way to get my abs back in shape without popping a seam.

Oh, who am I kidding. They weren't in shape to begin with.
Parent - By Dave59 [us] Date 2017-05-31 6:30 AM
I don't do any ab stuff at the gym. I had a doctor years ago tell me I should add weight workouts to my running.  He said it doesn't have to be much or fancy.  So I hit the gym twice a week, warm up on the ARC trainer for 20 minutes (with a "hill" routine), then I use 8 upper body machines (2 sets each).  Takes me 25-30 minutes on the machines.  I am in and out of the gym in 45-50 minutes and it does some good.  Easy peasy.
