Pretty exciting brick for me this morning!

24 mile bike at 20.7 mph right into 6 mile run at 6:18 overall pace!

I need to make sure I drink more on the bike but other than that, this one has me pretty excited about the race coming up!

It sounds like you're ready!  When is the race?  Great brick today.:cool:

I survived. 3:38.07 watch time. 8:14 average. 9th overall woman. I'll take it. It was a rough day. Warm, full sun, :shocker!: oh and I fell hard at mile 7.  I got skinned up, bruised, dirty and a little bloody. :shocker!::shocker!:  I'm definitely going to feel that.

Wow!! A leaderboard finish after a fall?!?! You are incredible! Congratulations and I hope you feel ok!!

My legs ironically feel pretty good but I'm really beat up from the fall.  I bruised my wrist, elbow, shoulder, hip and knee. :shocker!:  I also tore open both hands and my elbow. My shoulder seems to be the worst of the injuries. I have a lot of pain with any lifting of my arm.

My husband wants to get me a shirt that says "I'm not abused, just clumsy."

Wow I'm so sorry! How the heck did that happen?!!

I missed the cup at a water station and the volunteer ran a step to try and hand it off and while I was reaching back but running forward something went wrong. I don't know if I hit a pothole or what but I went skidding down. It didn't help that there was a lot of loose dirt/gravel (that I carried with me then for 19 miles :cry:)

Awesome job. One of my better marathon times was after a crash and burn fall at mile 2.

Hot, sunny one for me too at The Dam to Dam Half Marathon in Des Moines. If this wasn't a PW it was "dam" close. : pbbt: Caught up to Iowa with .8 miles to go. His calf was all seized up. I guess his 5K in Shiprock and one 9 mile training run wasn't enough.

Haha funny stuff! Sorry if it was a rough day out there!! Hope you recover well!

Great job getting it done in the heat.  I saw the Facebook photo with the sun and knew you didn't get a cooling shower.  So much for both of our 24 hours out weather forecasts of 90% chances of rain/storms.
