QOTD: what is the one thing you look forward to the most during summer?
Short run through hood.
Hair at 10. It's my last week of freedom.
QOTD: Ocean City NJ. If I had the means, I would have a beach house. I would never come home.
Good morning Karen.
For me it is always the long weekend at a lake. Now that's over and the next best thing is whichever neighbor's back yard we happen to be in at the end of the day. Tis the season of long conversations by a firepit or around a patio table.
I have to get back into some strength training today. Then tomorrow my club starts something called "The Reagan Primaries". It's a 4 week series of training runs for the Reagan Run 5k on July 4. Our club is sponsoring it and its all about getting people into running. This race attracts 1700 runners in a town of 12,000 - that's huge. We'd like to convert another 100 or so that we think are on the fence about trying a 5k. So we will show up these next few weeks as encouragers and not run for time. I'm looking forward to it.
thanks for the daily Geel, and Mark - have a good day back at work with your emails.
l like everything here. enjoy your day.
Ive got a fire pit too ya know, come over
I have fire pit also -- come one down!
I want to come to your area. It looks beautiful. I would like to go to the river walk

Swing by Illinois on your way to Texas and we'll road trip. Or we could just all meet here - I have 50 degrees, headed for a high of 70 sunshine and zero humidity. Of course in Illinois it could blizzard by tomorrow.
Oh yea -- we could have margaritas and stroll along the River Walk. I have room -- come on down!
off to pick up dawn, then to Texas we go...

That sounds awesome as a motivator for new runners
What a glorious morning -- blue skies, low humidity and no rain!
Off to walk with my friend and we will probably do a long walk.
QOTD - staying up late; eating watermelon and my 4th of July DQ dipped cone!
hold on I"m coming too.
hot humid and rainy here. again.
Well, got through the e-mails.
Did not get to do the run yesterday. Instead, I got to help Katy create a costume for school. She is dressing as Jeremy the Crow from the "Secret of NIMH".
And tonight is Church meeting, so I probably won't get a run in today.
Oh, well, C'est la vie.
Weird as it seems, the main thing I look forward to is the fact that I don't have to spend any time thinking about how to dress to run. Just need to meet the minimum requirements for community moral standards :).
Though, Saturday or Sunday afternoons chilling with my daughter at the creek is also a highlight.
I had to think twice about the dressing comment and then I realized that you have to dress for warmth sometimes.
Glad you got through all those emails.
Be sure and post pictures of the costume.
it all sounds good. chilling and thrilling!
that's one thing i look forwarded to also. Shorts, socks, shoes, go. And every 2 weeks my running laundry consists of 14 pairs of shorts and socks.

I do the world a favor and also wear a shirt.

I rode for 1.5 hours with some Z3 and Z4 work. Not an easy ride. Ended up being inside because it rained off and on plus the kids were doing some serious fighting and I didn't want to leave them alone.
QOTD: The break from school which for me is different that most parents of school age kids.
nice work today. and yes school sucks! sleep late and do fun things!
I haven't slept late in eons. Seriously since we brought new dog home I'm up anywhere from 4:45 on, usually not later than 6 am though. It sucks and is highly annoying.
last weekend I got to sleep in. I slept until 6:15am.
Been in a teeny funk. Ran a 5k on Saturday was 45 sec slower on the same course as 6 weeks ago. My cybercompetitor plodded past me in the last 9 seconds.
DH has been unwell but is getting better.
After moping vegetatively for two days and blowing off my spin class last night, I sprung out of bed and did the 8:15 spin class this am ( and had a blast..)
Raining cats and dogs here for several days now. Our limelight hydrangeas love it and are looking spectacular.

sorry about the bad stuff Jane. Hope your hubby feels better soon.
I've missed you! Hope it's nothing serious with your DH.
We have had lots of rain. Think today is the first day that we have blue skies.
being badass is exhausting. take this time to reflect on how you will come back even badasser. We all need a rest.
6.27 miles this morning.
QOTD-wearing a Speedo...wait that's what everyone else looks forward too...seeing me in a Speedo
yes. however, I haven't seen one yet. so you are lame.
Speedo - MonsterMashMarathon - Dover
Rain all day yesterday. All day today. I'm so tired of rain. Going to try and get a run in tomorrow am before the grands get here. Planning to attempt to swim in a wetsuit Thursday and practice on the boat. I need to be able to get on and off the island on my own for my sanity.
Violet is 4 today. That went by fast. A regular fournado.
Happy Birthday to sweet Violet!
that is us here. rain rain rain. depressing. However, next week we go right into Mississippi summer. 90* all week all sun.
The weather is so good. Sun and warm, but not humid and hot. I ran my normal 8 miles this morning. Even though school is out, I like to get up early and run.
That leads to the QOTD which is to have days that are not dictated by a particular schedule.
I am enjoying these days. Summer will soon be here -- like Thursday!
need a wee bit of your weather here.
YES!! to your answer. I do like a busy day too. I feel accomplished. but carefree days is the good life.
