Let's do Friday and get this weekend started.
QOTD: do you make eye contact with drivers when you are running or do you think that invites trouble?
Kind of a lame question for our trail runners....
I try to make eye contact, give a nod or a thank you wave if they have given me wide berth. and of course the one finger wave once it a while. I'm not proud of that but it has happened.
Looking forward to the sounds of my roofer's compressor gun and radio station choice today. We have a pretty big roof with a prairie style pitch (slopes in 4 directions) and the guy is doing it solo. Taking it down to the wood one day, shingling the next x4. Plus 4 dormer windows to shingle and replace siding. He's going to be here awhile. At least he likes 70's music.

When driving, we listen to the 70's station on XM satellite radio (a lot).
Morning Good Looking.
Running 6.2 at lunch time.
QOTD-I usually look at them to see what they are doing (am i gonna get run over). Especially at intersections. Not that I trust them, even if they act like they see me.
sometimes I feel if I make eye contact I have become a magnet for their bad driving. Thanks for the Dawn 10k. You beat me by 4 today.
Actually ran yesterday - 2.4 miles.
Won't run today since I'll run in the morning tomorrow.
Eye contact means nothing around here. Cars routinely use bike lanes, and shoulders. If its paved, you have to assume some one will be driving in it.
agreed. I try to stay off road as much as possible
Now I need to get ready for HH at my house this afternoon!
HH? hot and heavy? horn and hornet?

Hunky Henry? Heavy Hadrons? Henchmen and Heavies?
haha! you and OITW -- always looking for codes! HH = Happy Hour or Hora Feliz!
i was certain it was heat and humidity!
I've been able to run trails the past three days. Thanks summer break. This morning was a 20.03 mile run.
Now I'm worn out so I'm on the couch watching the UL /UK baseball game in the NCAA Regional. Baseball does not get the attention that basketball does between the two schools, not even close, but I'm enjoying it.
I look at drivers, but in the dark I don't see the driver, but keep my eyes on the vehicle. If they are kind and give me extra room, I always wave and show my appreciation.
enjoy your day. it sounds nice and peaceful
ran 5.13 miles in my hood. warm.
today Morgan and I ran about town doing some fun things.
QOTD: yep. I try to make contact, say hello. We need to look out for each other
So what kind of fun things are you doing?
took her to walmart to pick up some cupcakes for last day of school treats. bought some bad snacks and iced coffee for her. then we went to the farmer's market and I bought her a chocolate covered strawberry. then to marshals for a cute summer outfit. just us girls.
Work got really tough this morning so I went to the gym at lunchtime to get a break. First workout since Sunday's race. Didn't feel too good at the start but by the end it felt good to be there. Weekend can't get here soon enough. Power will be off at the office tomorrow so I can't work.
enjoy it!! i hope flies today. any weekend plans?
Sunday is our anniversary. Any suggestions would be welcome.
H and H?
how about brunch?
Books, perfume, dinner at a nice place, B&B, hobby related gifts
Regarding the QotD... I have been going to the park to run the last couple years so I don't remember if I make eye contact with drivers or not.
I just now noticed the date. Is it National OldAndInTheWay Day perhaps?

Well my margarita mixture (homemade) is in the fridge and I have the Tejano music going. But I am the only Hispanic and only one that understands the words, so before the guests arrive, the tunes will change.
If you are in the area, drop by!

Well the evening with friends was fun. Out of the 6 of us, I am the youngest at 60. So after dinner, instead of having an after dinner drink we went to DQ and had treats! Oh how the times have changed!
