No running for me today.

I'm heading to the Union to see a friend from out of town. It's like 100* out so I'll likely sweat as much as I would have on a run.

Quite warm here also, and bright sun. 4 early gallos . No coinage, but saw the usual geese , 4 fawns and a bunch of turtles : my menagerie

Rather brutal here too, but 9.5 miles on trail around Lake Pinchot, under trees.

Oh my, probably had more beer than I should have.

My friend picked me up in his sweet GTI (#jelly) and we went to the Union. Had a few cold ones (Karben4 Fantasy Factory, Lake Louise Fixed Gear) before heading out.

Listened to Cypress Hill and 311 on the way home (#collegememories) and am now heading to bed.

7.5 miles along Asilomar Beach.  If you are only going to run once in a week, this is a good one to do.

12.65 miles.  Longest run since 2008 and 3/4 miles longer than last week.

Lots of loops in streets I haven't run much recently.  Slightly faster than last weekend.  People at local hotels are beginning to know me, as I can get in and out of there to fill my water bottle (and use the facilities if need be) faster than at the fast food outlets.

Started getting uncomfortable (normal on long runs, but this was delayed 10 minutes from the prior week) the last half hour, did not slow down, and probably should have skipped the last mile.  Don't think my long runs are going much further than this.  There's just so much "on my feet" time I think I can do and stay healthy at this point of my life, given how many years I have been running.

Felt okay at end end, but was very tired, unlike the week before, when I ran 3/4 miles less and was slightly slower.  Temps 5 degrees warmer yesterday than the Sunday before.  Will have to start getting up earlier on Sundays to run when the temps begin to heat up.  Temps with humidity factored in were mid 60s to low 70s, with a nice breeze.
