Where is Friday's thread? It's 9 am get tot it!!! I know you are all out running, or stretching.
Post em when you got 'em!!!
So this morning run was sweaty...
the last couple of days have been great fro running this morning--not so much. I knew that when I woke up 2 am and it was all sticky in the house.
Week 4 Day 1 was a little tough, but I'm blaming the humidity which is 70%. My phone says "may feel a bit muggy" ya think?
Managed 5K tho in 36 minutes, so not terrible. Not where I want to be but baby steps. My knee is feeling better. Not sure if it's the chiropractor or the yoga. I've been doing a lot of yoga lately seems to calm my mind and body. I went to an Ahimsa class yesterday. I joined a Meetup group for vegans and it's one of their weekly meet ups. It was amazing!! I haven't done a real yoga class in years, so I wasn't sure. And my PS told me not to yoga for a while, but last I saw him (we don't quite have a meeting of the minds--I'm always bugging him about what I can do) he said (exasperatingly--is that a word) "do what you want!" So I am!
Hate doctors!!! I told the yoga instructor and she watched me on didn't poses and her class was tough but gentle, if that makes sense.
Anyway...have a great day masters! Off to the chiropractor.
nice running an yogaing (is that a word)

nice work Ommmm lady. I love yoga. I never do though. sigh. I'm not sure why
hot, muggy and lousy air quality here for the next few days.
that being said, running the Dawn 10K at noon today.
hot and sweaty. just the way I like things
That's why we are Besties
Deb you are in the wrong time zone. It's only 8:30 here. Plenty of time to get a daily started
I've had 2 pieces of really good whole grain nutty wonderful bread. Toasted up, butter, cinnamon, sugar, and a mug of coffee.
Then a dog walk with an extremely naughty husky. It's garbage day - she gets in to all kinds of trouble when the trash cans are out.
Waiting to see if my roofer shows. Not a sign of him yesterday. If (big if) he stops by today he has the potential to finish up the job. I would think he'd like that big fat check in his pocket before the holiday weekend. He started the roof 23 days ago. Showed up to work 15 days of those 23.
had a decent 20 minute run yesterday mostly because I wanted to try a post-run yoga youtube. I enjoyed a good 30 minute stretch and breathe session. Today tho I need to hit the weights. And then tomorrow is the Reagan Run. No time goals. They are expecting 2000 people and mile 2 is a single track thru the timber. Gets a little crowded but good fun. Nice hometown 5k.
dood. what's up with your roofer?? should that stuff take like two days??
He's a perfectionist. And a carpenter/woodworker by trade. I talked with him this morning and he said he will never do another roof. He's a crew of one and really got in over his head. I guess I should stop complaining and be thankful we were able to contract him. We have been trying for 5 years to get a roof.....
He still has to do some kitchen work here: a built in desk, pantry, exterior door and counter tops. I told him to come back in the fall. We need some time apart.
I've done 2 of her workouts and so far I like them. She talks a lot. Some find it distracting. I kind of like her chatter.
Yes, 4th of July race but on July 1. It is whatever Saturday is closest to the 4th. Reagan Run 5k in Ronald Reagan's hometown (one town over from me)

thanks. I was looking at her 7 min pre run. have to try that one.
I went to the gym for 30 minutes on the ARC trainer. Not in the mood for weights today so I went home after the ARC.
Hoping for a quiet, smooth day at work.
fingers crossed no one speaks at work today.
what's an ARC trainer?
An Arc trainer is like an elliptical except:
"The Arc Trainer, is scientifically tested to be gentler on your joints, burn 16% more calories than an elliptical, and is stronger and more durable than the leading ellipticals. On the Arc Trainer, the legs travel in a biomechanically correct path of motion. There’s less stress on the knees and more activation of the glutes and hamstrings."
6.10 hot and slightly gross miles.
today I tried my new chilly towel. I gave it a B. I wrapped ice in it and my neck was cool. I'm not sure if it was the breeze that made the run feel okay or the towel. Will try it again tomorrow.
taking the kids and friends to skyzone. indoor jumping place. should be fun.
Nice job Mrs Hot n' Sweaty
Starting my 16 week training plan for Monster Mash this weekend...
