Yesterday our domain was expired, but it has been revived today.

What's Up?
Parent - - By Dave59 [us] Date 2017-07-03 7:32 AM Edited 2017-07-03 7:35 AM
I ran an easy 3 at the local park today.  It is just going to be warm and humid for the next 2 months (at least) so there is no sense complaining about it.

Work today.  4 mile 'race' tomorrow.

Vacation plans with the kid are all set.  We pick her up in Atlanta on the 14th.  My daughter is bringing her up to Atlanta to save us some driving.

She'll be here for a couple weeks and then Cindy will take her up to Michigan to see "Grandpa & Grandma North" for a week.  Her biological father will be there too.  Cindy will stay and work up in Michigan during that time.  Then on August 8th we'll take her home to Tallahassee.

Cindy has all kinds of stuff planned. I think she forgot our age.  There is Legoland in Atlanta, Kings Island in Cincinnati, COSI in Columbus, Columbus Zoo, Dollywood, and maybe more.  There will definitely be 1-2 trips to the condo pool every day she is here.

My goal to increase my mileage in the 2nd half of the year may have to wait until all this is over.

That is a lot of activities. Let me know how Legoland is. That one sounds cool. My kids would love it, but there are none around here and I am a cheap bastard.

I think you may need the Jet to help supervise and assist in Atlanta.

I thought Cindy retired?
Yeah for a kid visit!
Parent - - By Dave59 [us] Date 2017-07-03 10:53 AM
She does some contract work for her old company.
Parent - - By ironjen Date 2017-07-03 10:55 AM
gotcha!
Parent - By Dave59 [us] Date 2017-07-03 11:19 AM
She works a couple days a week.  They asked her if she could do more but so far she hasn't decided.
Parent - By oncearunner [us] Date 2017-07-03 12:32 PM
Oh yea - we will have the kid stories to read about!  Enjoy your time with her.

Good luck on your 4 mile race tomorrow!

Dave is correct. Hot and Humid.
I ran 10 this morning before the heat. But not before the humidity. I was sweating like an airedale on pornstar coffee.
ended my run at the car shop and picked up my camaro that was leaking various fluids. It had 8 leaks total  30 year old car. I had worst 3 fixed. Rear-end, power steering pressure hose and an oil seal. $385:cry: but actually cheaper than I thought it would be.
"working" today but it won't be busy. Plan to wash a few of the days.
Parent - - By Grey Beard Tom [us] Date 2017-07-03 8:18 AM
Good you still have some guys who can actually repair car stuff instead of just replace.

So what do the guys at the shop say when this sweaty bald dude in chili pepper shorts shows up for his car?
Parent - By OldAndInTheWay Date 2017-07-03 8:30 AM
Yeah they are good about repairing parts and not just replacing everything.
I've been going to that shop for a long time. They are used to me running to and from their shop. today i was a sweaty mess. I'm sure they loved the credit card I pulled out of the pocket in my water bottle. they have a boxer (dog) at the shop, even he wouldn't get near me today.
Parent - By ironjen Date 2017-07-03 10:46 AM
8 leaks :shocker!: why not repair all of them?
Parent - By oncearunner [us] Date 2017-07-03 12:33 PM
Hot and humid here also!

I am sure today is a dead day at most offices.  Those that showed up aren't really working.

My running expired over the weekend.  I had a nasty relapse of nerve issues last week.  I thought I was suddenly regressing to last year.   A little better today.

Tomorrow is our big 4th of July BBQ for the community.   Bought 3 shopping carts of food.  And Rob says "that's big?"  A bunch of guys looking forward to it.  Sure wish we had some shade trees in front of church.

Good to hear you are improving slightly today.

Good luck on your BBQ tomorrow.  You are such a unselfish, caring person.  Thank you Tom for your hospitality.

I began the day with a 10 mile run.  Started early enough to see the nice sunrise as I was finishing.

My neighbors have already begun their fireworks display since Saturday.  Makayla sat on the front porch and watched them last night.  I may join her tonight and watch.  Some years there are 4 sets of fireworks going up simultaneously.

Makayla and I are going to Cleveland this Saturday for a few days.  She has always wanted to go to Cedar Point so that's the draw to Cleveland.  We've never been to Cleveland.  I think the plan is to leave early Saturday morning and explore things to do on Saturday.  It's a six hour drive according to google maps.

our neighborhood is fireworks crazy too.  I am growing weary of it.  The dog and cat tolerate them well so there's that....

You are twinning with OITW - 10 mile buddies!

Since we are out in the county, fireworks are permissible.  We usually go to the church grounds to see the city fireworks.

Enjoy Cleveland.

Kitty love this morning.  Steaks on the Weber last night.  Not one thing on the to do list today.  Amy has worn totally thru the bottoms of her Converse - I think shoe shopping is on for this afternoon.  I might need a Target fix as well.  I think we will also peruse Best Buy for new laptops.  Neither of us are ready to buy but fact finding/window shopping is always good.

H&H hit here too.  Had to turn the A/C on.  Will try to run early tomorrow; today's a rest day.

I went shoe shopping today. At the running store (happy dance)!! :shocker!::blush::cool::grin::grin: Ah almost forgot how I loved it. Before I got sick Chris' mom gave me a gift certificate to my favorite running store. It was the last Christmas present she gave me. :cry: I had no idea how much was on it. I was thinking $40-50, that was her usual gift. But the sales girl said there's a $100 balance. What :shocker!: are you sure? That was a nice surprise. So I blew kisses to heaven in thanks. That was so sweet!! Wish she was here to thank her. So new running treads!

That was so thoughtful of Chris' Mom.  I am sure she was smiling from heaven that you finally used the gift!

Enjoy those new shoes!

Hola!

I went out about 7:30 and PW'd for about 5.5 miles.   Luckily it was overcast and there was a slight breeze, so a nice walk.

Came home and went to grocery store to get last minute items needed for tomorrow.

I really need to clean my study.  And pick up all of the HOA crap that I have laying around the study.

Enjoy your afternoon!

That's a lot of walking!
