The Weather Channel had an interesting map showing what time of year is the hottest. I live between the area marked "early July" and the area marked "mid-July". So I guess we are in the peak heat time here. Good thing the kid is coming because she will force me down to the pool a couple times a day.
Hang in there, it'll be snowing before you know it.
5.08 at the park this morning. It was warm, humid, and slow but I think I am getting the hang of the heat. If I mix in some walks before I really start dragging, then I can stay consistent and finish while still feeling human.
did you try the chilly towel?
Dang heat index is predicted for 105 today. And we're all about baking cookies on the other thread.
Too hot to drink a Porter, guess it would be better used in cooke dough.
I need to buy food. I've been saying this since Sunday but I keep finding stuff in the freezer. Today though, I've GOT to go to the store. When you are down to the last banana and the only bread left is the crust.....
Lower body workout today. Strangely I'm having problems with the ball of my foot and the toe joints. I usually workout barefoot when I'm at home but I've certainly pulled something so I'll give it a go with shoes today. I just don't think I work on my balance enough when I'm wearing shoes.
Porter cookies. You might need to work more on your balance.
you sound like me...I only go for food when we need milk. It's a good way to clean out the pantry.
How often do you need milk? We run out of milk all the time
winter, two gallons once a week. in summer, not so much. they wake up in time for lunch these days.
I need to buy food, but I'm trying to hold out until Friday when Ray gets paid--need to make sure I have money tomorrow night in case I decide I want a Paul McCartney concert t-shirt! Priorities folks...priorities!! LOL!
I didn't get out for my walk/run this morning. I've been dealing with insurance issues again and I was awake most of the night being annoyed/stressed by the whole thing so I decided to start making phone calls (AGAIN) to the insurance company first thing instead of heading out the door.....by the time I was done it was too hot out for me. I will get in the walk late this evening if the thunderstorms don't roll in.
Is there someone at your Cancer center that can help you navigate this mess? I know our local hospital has people on staff just for this type of thing.
I was given the name of someone to call, but I have to go there on Monday anyway so I'm waiting until then. I'm SUPPOSED to hear from a supervisor from the insurance company tomorrow.....we'll see. I told one of the nurses at the radiation center on Monday that the most stressful part of having breast cancer has been dealing with the insurance people.
I'm sorry that you have to stress yourself out more about insurance issues. make sure you get yourself that T shirt. if something happens and you can't, you message me. I'll make sure you get one.
I could use some snow here, Dave.....I'm MELTING!!

Well hello friends!
I finished my cardio and upper arms video. And now I need to shower and clean up my study. Other than that I am staying indoors till 5:30 - it is too darn hot outside. My poor plants are wilting even though my husband waters them faithfully.
If you guys could send us some rain and cooler weather, I would surely appreciate it!
Stay cool on this wonderful Wednesday!
no chance of that happening here. hot hot hot.
I'm going to be in DFW next weekend. My weather app says 97. At first I though I might die, now I'm SURE of it.
The DFW are has had more rain than us, so maybe you will be lucky and it won't be as hot. How long will you be in the DFW area or are you en route to an exciting new location?
I'm going to see Don Henley and Stevie Nicks in concert. Just staying one night and back home. I will never live someone warm/hot again, it's just not for me. Weather.com tells me it will be 94. I will die, there is no doubt.
I'm actually moving to Alaska in October.
Well good thing the only outdoor activity will be getting to and from the venue and/or airport.
Alaska! Wow -- what city and what will you be doing?
Enjoy the concert and the move!
6.27 at lunch time. Dawn 10k in the Heat is gonna kill me.
make sure you take water.
well i am finished. but i did bring water with me
more sweaty and skanky than normal. but its done. running early tomorrow, got 11 on the schedule.
I've got to get up at some ungodly hour myself. I need to fit 9ish into my diet.

It's humid and we are supposed to get storms tonight. I'm going out for a swim in a few. Waiting on the tide to change so I can practice getting beat up by the current.
I straightened out my mud room. It was a disaster. Now it's pretty manageable.
come do my pantry. it's awful.
does it make me a bad person that i read that as:
"come do my pantie. it's awful."
that's if I wore them....
yes it makes you like a person that I won't mention but has a high political office.
Do you ever have those days where you postpone a task as long as you can? I need to straighten out my study. I have HOA stuff everywhere. Now that we have a management company, I have very little to do. Actually just forwarding mail to them right now until the addresses of various vendors get changed.
Why do I hate doing this stuff? Reminds too much of real work? I don't know.
I'll answer my own question -- I want to plan my trip to the Dakotas this fall! That's what I want to do. And just maybe I can meet Badlands Bob and his wife!
3.5 this morning. Oh wait, that's cups of coffee. A 3 AM night with elder care last night.
Lynda makes Peach A Berry Cobbler with blueberries and peaches. Oh my is that a summer favorite. Dessert last night and breakfast this morning along with pepper, egg and cheese omelet.

Peaches and blueberries might be my favorite combo. Sounds delicious.
I love peaches. I will suffer through the blueberries for those peaches.
that sounds delish.
