Good morning and Happy Monday. What you got? How was the weekend?
Parent - - By OldAndInTheWay Date 2017-07-17 6:43 AM
Ran 10.11 miles this morning. 4 mile warm up. 6x1/2 mile at 5k pace (6:36) with 1/4 mile jog. goal 1/2 splits 3:18. Actual: 3:20, 3:17, 3:17, 3:15, 3:13, 3:15. 1.5 mile cool down. Warm up and cool down to and from the track. Actual workout on the track.

Weekend was decent. Not too busy for a change. And the weather was good.

Looks like you are back in the saddle.  And decent splits too.  I take it the storms on Fri PM did not wash away the house.

You are a machine!

Ran 5.05 this morning.  I just get slower and slower.  People 10 years older than me can beat me easily in a 5k.  I guess it is time to see if some weight loss will help.  If that doesn't work I don't know what to do...

Odd thing of the day: I have an Amazon Kindle Fire HD-8 tablet.  I called up the calendar to see what day of the week a certain date was going to fall on and I noticed there are birthdays listed for seemingly random people.  MarkH & Ron from the forum are in there as well as a guy I know from Michigan.  My sister's birthday is in it too.  It just seemed strange.  I never entered any of them.

Do they have that same Kindle model?

Dave
I so admire your consistency.   At least you ran.  Bet I can't beat you.

Marvelous Monday Masters.   3M or M cubed.

My run walk had some bounce to it today.  This is a BIG day   Later today I fly to Asheville from BWI.  I'll wave when I fly over your house Rob.   I will spend 10 hours with Ellen, pick up Josiah and fly to Newark, NJ.  From there we go to New York, Staten Island Ferry to see Statue of Liberty, and World Trade Center.  Back on train Newark,NJ to Newark, DE.    Josiah (10) gets a week of Pop Pop then Ellen drives up with the other 2 on Saturday.

Speaking of Ellen, she is expecting #4 in February!!!:grin::grin: #4 at 40.:shocker!:   She quit her job and will start home schooling with Isaac (7).  Oh the influence of the Masters Forum.

My weekend was.....clean the kitchen, bathroom, family room, coffee pot, install new washer dryer at Aunt Shirley. Lynda was away all weekend at women's retreat.  Went to Johnny Cash concert in the park last night.  He does pretty good for a dead guy.

Tom in DE

No doubt he'd beat me in a 5k too.

Good morning all!

I have returned from my 5.5 miles of PW and ate my breakfast of beef fajitas, caramelized onions and homemade refried beans -- delicious!  Now I need to work on my abs and then answer a few emails.

Oh I guess I do need to go the grocery store also.

Have a marvelous Monday!

That's a really good PW.   For me the down side of PW is that it takes too long.  Or at least I perceive that.  Actually, there is very little difference between my walk and run now.  Except when I walk, my mind gets too busy and then I realize that I just strolled for the last 10 minutes.

Breakfast sounds awesome!

I should have added that it was a taco and man was the flour tortilla good!  We tried a new-to-us Mexican restaurant -- the reviews said they had good fajitas and they did!  Plus it was rather inexpensive.  It is called Taco Palenque -- I think it is a chain.
